Fitzrovia One-Bedroom Flat, Upper Floors

1bedroom1bathroom4guestsUpperfloors · no lift35.9m²

This listing covers a few flats on the upper floors, all on the same plan. The decor and some of the furniture differ a little from one to the next.

The space

A one-bedroom flat on the upper floors of a Victorian building in Fitzrovia, up several flights of stairs, with no lift. Dormer windows let the morning light into the sitting room, where there is a sofa bed, a desk, and a kitchen counter with two stools. The bedroom looks out over the rooftops, and the shower room is in marble. We have a few of these flats on the same plan, and the photographs come from all of them, so yours may have a green sofa rather than a beige one. We confirm which flat is yours when you book.

Location

Fitzrovia, between Oxford Street and Regent's Park, a few minutes on foot from Oxford Circus and Goodge Street stations. Cafés, bakeries and independent shops line the surrounding streets. The exact address is sent once a booking is confirmed.

Perfect for

One person or a couple on a work trip, anyone who needs a desk, and people who would rather walk around central London than take taxis.

The part of the West End that still has a corner shop, a good pub and a tailor. Virginia Woolf, George Orwell and Dylan Thomas all lived or drank here.

For landlords and agents

We look after your flat as if it were ours.

You keep the property. We furnish it, photograph it, find the guests and look after it from one week to the next. We share the revenue with you, so we only do well when you do.

How it works
1

We set it up

Furniture, linen, photographs and the listing, done the same way as our own flats. We don't touch the structure, and we hand it back as we found it.

2

We host

We list it here and on the main platforms, check every guest, arrange the check-ins and the cleaning, and deal with whatever comes up in between.

3

We share the revenue

Your share arrives every month, with a statement showing each booking. You don't have to chase anyone.

Prefer a fixed rent?Also possible

Some owners would rather have the same rent every month. We can do that on some properties, on a company lease. Say so in the form and we'll set out both options for you.

About

The two architects behind theINVITED.

We are a couple, both architects, who believe that beauty has the power to calm the chaos of the modern world, soothe the mind, spark inspiration and create a deep sense of belonging.

We created theINVITED, rooted in the quiet poetry of soft minimalism. We craft spaces where light lingers, materials speak and every detail invites stillness and connection.

More than hospitality, theINVITED is a way of living — an ever-evolving dialogue between form, feeling and belonging.

And we can’t wait for you to experience it first-hand.

We wanted rooms you could live in for a month and still notice something new on the last morning.

The space first

Before anything is bought, we spend time in the empty flat and work out how a guest will use it: where the bed sits best, how the living room should be arranged, which layout makes the most of the space. Most of it comes out of those first visits.

Old and new

Most rooms have something old in them, set against good new pieces: a proper mattress, hotel-grade linen, a sofa that is comfortable at the end of a long day. The new things are there for comfort; the old ones give the room its character.

Each one its own

Every flat starts from its building, so a Victorian house in Oxford looks nothing like a mews in Marylebone.

Come and stay. We would like to know what you think.

Corporate and relocation

Apartments for longer stays.

For companies moving people to London or Oxford, relocation agents, and university departments with visitors. The same standard in every flat, one invoice, and one person to call.

A month or more

Every flat has a monthly rate, invoiced monthly. A stay can be extended, or moved to another flat, without starting the paperwork again.

Colleagues close by

In Fitzrovia and in West Oxford we have neighbouring flats in the same building, so people can be near each other without sharing.

Ready when they arrive

Fast Wi-Fi, a proper kitchen and a washer-dryer in every flat, one clean included in the price, with more on whatever schedule suits at an extra fee, and a welcome box on arrival.

Prototype: posts to stay@theinvited.uk with a "Corporate enquiry" subject so it can be routed separately. Housekeeping cadence and invoicing lines are drafts to confirm.
Corporate · Relocating

A home for the first weeks.

Moving city is easier when you have a kitchen and somewhere to put the boxes. Our flats have both, and the larger ones have room for a family. Stay a month or three while you find the next place, and ask us about staying on if it takes longer.

For families and professionals moving to London or Oxford
The monthly rate from day oneNo extra charge for the first week, and no deposit beyond the usual one.
Extend as you goAsk a week ahead and we will check whether the flat is free for longer.
Furnished properlyA good bed, real linen, a kitchen you can cook in. Arrive with a suitcase.
Help settling inWe are happy to suggest where to start with schools, GPs and the good butcher. We have moved more times than we would like to admit.
One invoiceTo you, or to the company paying for the move.
Prototype: each segment page has its own URL for search and for the outreach emails, and posts with its own subject line so replies can be routed. Points are drafts to confirm (rate card, notice periods, PO handling).
Corporate · Visiting academics

Near the department, not the ring road.

Our Oxford flats are in West and South Oxford, twelve to twenty minutes on foot from the Science Area, the Bodleian and most of the colleges, with the Covered Market on the way home. We host fellows for a term and researchers for a week.

For Oxford departments, colleges, institutes and visiting fellows
Rates by the termQuoted per term or per month, invoiced to the department or to the visitor.
Somewhere to workMost of our Oxford flats have a proper desk.
Purchase ordersHappy to work with a purchase order or the department’s own process.

Corporate · Insurance placements

Somewhere to live while the house is fixed.

When a family is out of their home after a flood or a fire, they need somewhere that feels like a home, and someone who picks up the phone. We house policyholders in London and Oxford for as long as the works take, and extend when the dates allow.

Corporate · HR and mobility teams

Your people, settled in.

A secondment goes better when people have a kitchen, a desk and a front door of their own. We house secondees, new starters and project teams in central London and Oxford, send one invoice a month, and tell you about any problem before your people have to.
